What you should do, then, is to look for the benefits to your experience.

Description uses British phrase. This is a fantastic book! The book's title is wixeman on a conversation the author had with a friend about the abundance of pop-psychology self-help myths out there and how many of them, despite being popular and well-known, are utterly wrong and not backed by research of any kind. The only slight criticism of Wiseman's use of the research is that he doesn't discount the effects on efficacy from the self-awareness that one is using a method.
And that's what this book is - lots of little ideas that are designed to help you out. Short, sweet, to-the-point, and incredibly useful.

This was such a great read! Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations. You can't beat that! Although there are some cheesy lines in it that make for hit-or-miss comedy, the book is enticing and references several studies in order to validate what the author is speaking about.

Mr Wiseman believes the science-based advice offered by his book is more objective than that of many others in the self-help genre.
Writing tends to remind people of all the good things about the relationship. Knowing how busy we all are, Professor Wiseman set himself the task of summarising a huge amount of accumulated Psychological knowledge in ten short chapters, the summaries of which one can read in 59 seconds flat!
